HAVANA CLUB
Welcome Pack

Havana Club has been producing rum in Havana, Cuba since 1934. The brand was nationalised in 1959 after the Cuban revolution but is now jointly owned with the French company Pernod Ricard. Their rum is exported globally, except for the United States due to the embargo put in place by the U.S. government.
The French side of the company held a brand summit in Paris to discuss the new possiblities for the business with the relaxation of the U.S. embargo and the task was to create a welcome pack for the attendees. The names of all those present was laser etched onto a wooden box, reminiscent of Cuban cigar packaging, which was filled with useful tools that could be used whilst at the summit. The t-shirt graphic was inspired by an item of vintage ephemera from the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
